
Site Description
The Leaf Indoor Garden is situated in the Babs Asper Display House, adjacent to the Mediterranean Biome. The site is a warm indoor environment surrounded by flowers, plants, and a spiraling arched glass roof. The interior of the Display House is spacious and bright, receiving ample natural sunlight while remaining comfortable and protected from wind, rain, and snow. The ceiling structure supports hanging interventions, providing a unique design opportunity that is exclusive to this site.

The location and type of raised bedding plants will differ from those shown in site photos (see site floorplan for accurate raised bed layout and 46 sq. metre floor area allocated for installation)

A 2-metre clear perimeter is required surrounding the installation area

Floor-based anchoring is not possible

Suspension from ceiling anchor points via roof cables 3.7 metres above floor level is possible (see exact locations noted in site floorplan)

Air movement, high temperatures, condensation and direct sunlight must be considered

Non-flammable or fire-retardant materials must be used

Organic material and sourcing must be reviewed in consultation with the Assiniboine Park Conservancy
