Little Red Library by David Penner set to return home to Hugo Park after being vandalized in May of 2021

Grand Reopening Saturday, February 5 @ 2pm @ Hugo Park, 261 Wellington Crescent

The Little Red Library is an architectural installation for the lending and trading of books, based on the international ‘Little Free Library’ movement. While small, the bright red cube has made a large impact in the community.

On Monday May 10th, 2021, the Little Red Library was found severely damaged due to an arson incident. Storefront Manitoba spearheaded the restoration of this community library. Because of an outpouring of support from the community, we are pleased to announce that repairs are complete and LRL will be re-installed this week.

You are invited to the grand re-opening on Saturday, February 5, at 2pm. Please join us for hot chocolate - and of course to take a book and leave a book - perhaps on your way to enjoy the Nestaweya River Trail! Looking forward to many more years of sharing and connecting in this special place.
