Pothole Bench
by Michelle Tustin

The Pothole Bench is inspired by the topography of the Prairie Pothole Region, located in the Southwestern corner of the province. Here, an abundance of sloughs and small wetlands house a rich diversity of flora and fauna, supporting close to half of North America’s migratory waterfowl. A long flat hardwood surface riddled with multiple pothole depressions, the pothole bench plays with an imagined topography of pothole seating.

Scattered Spheres
by Wood Anchor Inc. (Kellen Deighton, Karen Hare + J Neufeld)

The Scattered Spheres are turned from solid Winnipeg urban Elm. These pieces operate as both a composition in the landscape and a functional place for pause.
