Layers of interwoven cord emulate cloud formations and provide a canopy of ethereal shade above the grass. The installation encourages cloud gazing; taking time to pause, reflect and create infinite possibilities, ideas and narratives. In the digital communication age, the thought bubble or ‘typing awareness indicator’ keeps us in perpetual anticipation. Keep Your Cool blends this familiar symbol with cloud imagery, juxtaposing nature and technology. Through scale, orientation and views, the installation re-imagines these recognizable icons, and redefines our association with them – from potential unease to limitless creative potential.
