Assiniboine Park and The Leaf

Assiniboine Park is a large urban park offering diverse attractions and recreational spaces for visitors of all ages. Spanning 400 acres, the park features scenic walking trails, gardens, a zoo, and cultural facilities. Located inside the park, The Leaf is an indoor horticultural attraction that houses a variety of plants from around the world, including exotic species and seasonal floral displays. The indoor biomes are popular destinations for those looking to escape the harsh winters of the region, providing warm, vibrant spaces filled with greenery and colour year-round. Graham Avenue

Beginning this June, buses will begin moving off Graham Avenue as part of a new City of Winnipeg Transit Master Plan. Former bus-only sections of Graham Avenue now have the potential to become a pedestrian and active transportation destination within Winnipeg’s downtown Sports, Hospitality, and Entertainment District (SHED). A summer pilot project organized by The City, businesses, and community members, will explore a future for this area with installations, food trucks, games, and other exciting interventions. Cool Garden installations will be mounted between Donald Street and Smith Street, in a section of the pilot program designated “The Green Zone.” Holy Trinity Anglican Church (1883-1884) sits on the north side of the block, while the south side is home to the Millennium Library, The City’s main library branch, entered via the southeast corner of Donald Street and Graham Avenue.
